"The perfect location for the perfect Christmas."

Thank you to Mike for his impeccable hosting skills as well as allowing us to sample some of his homemade brew! Having been tasked with finding an idyllic Canadian Christmas for our group of 9 (with 6 visiting from the UK), I couldn’t be happier with our choice. Large, clean and comfortable, there was more than enough space for us all within this wonderfully built cabin, complete with hot tub and fire pit to roast marshmallows and while away the chilly outdoor temperatures. For those who like to cook, the cabin comes complete with a large well equipped kitchen – enough to cook a Christmas dinner for 9! The cabin itself if set within the forest within an easy drive of Kamloops (40 min or so). It has a lovely feeling of seclusion without being remote, and for skiers Sun Peaks is just a short drive away (although as Mike says – be sure to use your snow tires). All in all, we had a wonderful stay at the cabin, and I would highly recommend it to others (and likely ourselves for the summer season). Thanks to Mike for making us feel so welcome, for being on hand at all times where required and for helping us create a once in a lifetime Christmas. Oh and for the Christmas Tree on arrival – it’s all about the small touches!

This is a place we will go every year from now on.

Mike was so hospitable and thoughtful. He always answered texts and emails and made our trip very smooth. Everything about the experience was first class. The loghouse was super clean and organized (everything is labeled- EVERYTHING), comfy beds, super clean sheets, cozy living room, great hot tub. The place resembled staying at a 5 star hotel. The loghouse had all sorts of entertainment and we enjoyed every single minute of it. This is a place we will go every year from now on.

Definitely a host and a home to recommend!

The log house is truly idyllic! So quiet and relaxing. Perfect for a group wanting to get away from it all. The outdoor space is lovely: the pool, hot tub, back deck and front porch and lawn were all very enjoyable spaces surrounded by nature and beauty. The inside of the log house shows better than the photos do. The kitchen is roomy. The living room and dining table were perfect for our group of 11. All of the beds were very comfortable (especially the pillows and bedding!) and the rooms themselves were very quiet. Everyone had wonderful sleeps. We left the Log House relaxed and restored, which was just the kind of getaway we were looking for. Mike was very attentive to any needs that arose. He kindly offered to pick up ice and coffee for us in town on our first morning there. When we called with a small inquiry, he was over 5 minutes later. Definitely a host and a home to recommend! We look forward to returning.

“The pictures don't do it justice.”

4 dads, 8 kids, 1 log house = 1 amazing weekend. The place is spectacular... The pictures don't do it justice. Mike was a great host and was there at a moments notice if there was anything we needed. Would definitely recommend this chalet to others.

“Nothing better than a hot tub after running 27km”

This cabin was nothing short of a 5-star experience! Mike was a very accommodating host and provided all the amenities we could have asked for and then some. Came here to compete in the Spartan Race and the team agrees that this cabin made the trip the amazing experience that it was - nothing better than a hot tub after running 27km, gaining over 2000m of elevation! It was about a 45 minute drive to the Sun Peaks village, but the privacy and comfort provided was well worth it. Definitely would recommend this place for groups, just make sure to respect the place to keep this log cabin the gem that it is!
